Currently our system has cash registers linked per user where each register user has to be treated as a seperate register. This meant that businesses that has 1 cash register but multiple shifts had to use same user account OR close the register and start with the closing balance of previous shift register user by 2nd shift register user.
But with this upcoming update, we are changing this. Cash registers will not be linked to users. You will be allowed to create registers with unique names and multiple users assigned can use same register throughout the day. For example, at the end of morning shift of register 1, the morning shift user wont have to close the register and 2nd user can start from his own account where the morning shift user left. The one with last shift of the day can close the register after doing necessary calculations
Currently, our system associates cash registers with individual users, requiring each user to manage their own register separately. This setup has posed challenges for businesses with a single cash register but multiple shifts, as they either have to share the same user account or close the register at the end of each shift, forcing the next user to start with the previous shift's closing balance.
With this upcoming update, we are streamlining the process. Cash registers will no longer be tied to specific users. Instead, you will be able to create registers with unique names, allowing multiple users to operate the same register throughout the day. For instance, after the morning shift on Register 1, the user from the morning shift can simply hand over the register to the next user without closing it. The second user can continue from where the morning shift ended, using their own account. The final user of the day will have the responsibility to close the register after completing the necessary end-of-day calculations.
